Basking in the I AM.

Just listen to the words of this song, bask in the greatness of our God. It's what I have been finding myself doing a lot lately, in fact, it seems all I am capable of right now. Maybe I'm being filled for something, that is what I pray. But just know, through the lyrics of this song, that our God is the great I AM. He is the answer to ALL of the "i am nots" that we use to describe ourselves with. Yes, we are nothing...who cares? For He is everything. He is THE GREAT I AM. (Song by New Life Worship)

“What do you want from me?” The question eeeks out of my brain quicker than I can stop it with better judgement. Lent is: leaning in.

The early-sun stills my heart to sit, this “making room” leftover from Advent,  is now giving birth to Lent— a new season to contemplate the old, a season of dawn: of all of our hopes, retold. But first, it’s dark and the way is long the lengthening of days piling up in fog over my heart that needs hope like oxygen my soul that needs rest, breathing in, breathing out, this sound a melody where old meets new and where I meet You.
