My Heart, His Vision

So, I'm about to go hard-core study for a huge test that I have tomorrow. Gross, I know, and it stinks because I have not blogged in quite some time now. I do not like that this has happened, and God is beginning to unveil how He is going to remedy this. But here is what He is showing me:

--update on life in general...general things like school, classes, vague details of what He is teaching me.
--Jonah has been a HUGE thing I've been learning, so that may take a few times to go over...I may go chapter to chapter.
--L3 Lately...catchy, huh? :) Yeah, I want to blog about the L3 several times a week, and then add in extra things He is teaching throughout.

Ok, short I know, but, like I said, STUDY TIME!! But, He is moving, and I am excited to be apart of it! Cannot wait to share in this journey with you!

Advent Songs, part 2.

With this week’s sermon, came two songs, of sorts--though the first, I guess, should be called a poem, since I didn’t discover a melody as I wrote it.  The challenge at the end of this week’s sermon was to believe in Christ as our Mighty God. To cast all our fear, anxiety, our constant need to be in control on the One who IS in control. To have confidence in our Mighty God.  And, at the end, I found myself praying a prayer we quote probably more than we should—“Increase my faith!” The disciples asked for this in Luke 17, after being told that temptations will come and that forgiveness must always be their response. So, in the face of these weighty words, they cry out to the Lord—“Increase our faith!” But the Lord’s response is so merciful, so gracious, so freeing. The Dross of Deception

A few weeks ago, I watched a video devo from Beth Moore on Jeremiah 17:9-10. If you would like to take a quick 20 minutes to listen to it, you can check it out here . It really goes by quickly, but it taught me a lot and has a lot to do why I'm writing these words now. I watched this video and God began to do a work in my heart, through my Esther study just a few days after praying with Beth Moore in this video that I would "lean in" to hear God's voice in how my heart is being deceived. I woke up while it was still dark this morning, my body refusing to return to sleep, twisting, turning from one side to the other, pulsing with pain. So through my restless, blinking, squinting eyes, I watched the sunrise. I watched Easter slowly dawn. I remembered the darkness of the night, the empty grave that met the women, the running to and from, and to and from again. My feet tingled, tangled under the sheets.
