Lift up, Lift up, Lift UP!

Hey everyone who happens to read this. This is a call for this place to be lifted up. You don't know the names, the places, the people I have come to love, but you know our Father and you can interceede on behalf of those that He knows. Thank you!

Lift up...
  • That we would shine like stars
  • That our team would continue to grow together and enrich each other
  • That the places & people we visit will see that we are different beyond our skin color, by way of 2nd Cor. 11 (the first verses about boldness & confidence)...
  • That homes & hearts would be open
  • That ears would be unstopped
  • That eyes would see the light
  • That the evil one will have NO MORE STRONGHOLDS in this place
  • That we will remain healthy
  • That as His plan unfolds, we would follow without fear and without hindrance.

“What do you want from me?” The question eeeks out of my brain quicker than I can stop it with better judgement. Lent is: leaning in.

The early-sun stills my heart to sit, this “making room” leftover from Advent,  is now giving birth to Lent— a new season to contemplate the old, a season of dawn: of all of our hopes, retold. But first, it’s dark and the way is long the lengthening of days piling up in fog over my heart that needs hope like oxygen my soul that needs rest, breathing in, breathing out, this sound a melody where old meets new and where I meet You. To the one who stayed, and now must return, dear friend,  dear self, You didn't want to stay. Everything within you was ready to go. You were ready. Everything but your bags was packed: your heart, your calling, your identity—stowed away in the treasure boxes you found them in at first. Reburied like sand shuffled under waves of uncertainty, doubt, and the existential lie: did God really say? But you stayed. And even though sometimes you waffle and wonder, you know He asked you to.
