Namaste!

Ok, jumping on in! Yesterday was an amazing day! We went out into the city to yarp-erwalk and to try and talk with people. We were hoping to share stories with them from our lives and from the Word. So, we took the metro across town. Fun! First experience with that. We went to this part of town called Old Delhi. I is, as the name suggests, the oldest part of of Delhi, and has a vast array of temples--Hindu, Buhddist, Sikh (pronounced seek), and Islamic. So our plan was to go to many of them, and try to speak with people about their religion, and learn about what they believe, and try to also share what we believe. Buy when we got off te metro, we decided to eat lunch first. So we walked into a resturant. I order Masala Dosa, which is a large pancake with seasoned mashed potatoes in it, and it comes with a sauce that you eat it with. Well, we walked upstairs to eat. I tried to have an auntie (older lady) teach me how to eat it, but that didn't really work. But I just ate it with my...

Hello from South Asia!

Namaste! (it means "Welcome") It's a greeting here! Well, I've been locked out of my email account, therefore, I am here hoping that someone will read this and update everyone so that more lifting up may occur! Words cannot begin to express how truly uplifted I feel--and it's because of your knees hitting the floor. :) Thank you, oh so much! So, I am learning, learning, and oh did I mention, Learning?! Not just about the culture or some Hindi words and phrases, but about myself and my relationship with my Daddy & Son. I sang alongside one of my teammates this morning in worship, and it was just amazing feeling "grace like rain," as we sang. Further thoughts for lifting... For my parents, as they haven't heard from me, like, at all. It's definitely frustrating having no communication at all. For my team...LOVE them. I'm listening right now to them laugh and joke. It's great. :) Ask that we are unified completely. That Love would comp...

L3 Verses

So, I know it has been awhile since I have posted anything, I've just been super busy preparing for my departure THIS SATURDAY. Wow, it's finally here. Crazzzzzzzy. God is so good. Anyway, I just wanted to share several verses from the L3 readings for the past week that has particularly spoken to me. I try to refrain from putting in my two cents...but we all know that this is next to impossible. :) James 4:5 "He yearns jealously over the spirit that He has made to dwell in us." I mean, that is just beautiful. You know what makes it even more beautiful? This is not talking about the Holy Spirit, which is placed within us after we accept Christ. This is talking about the spirit which He "made to dwell in us" when He created us, before the foundations of the earth (Ephesians 1:4). That spirit. The one which we corrupted. He wants to make it new, and fill it up with the Holy Spirit. He yearns for us. Yearns means to have an intense feeling of loss or...
