The God who sees me. This is a true story from God's Word. Abram had just been promised the world. Literally. God knew his fears and doubts concerning the future, and He came to Abram in the midst of them. He met and reassured him and gave him a divine promise, an everlasting covenant. Abram was old and childless, but God told him that he would be the father of a great nation. God took him outside and said, "Look up, look at the stars, number them if you can. So shall your descendants be." And Abram believed God, and his faith was counted as righteousness. Yet his wife grew restless in the waiting for this promise to be fulfilled, for a child to finally be placed in her arms. So she took matters into her own hands. She had a servant named Hagar, and promptly formed a plan.
